I feel the same connection with a good Gewürz – its a brilliant wine as far as I am concerned, but I confess to being distracted by the other incredible foods you photographed for this post.

Your food pictures are fantastic! Do you take them yourself? I always have trouble having enough light, especially in a restaurant. Are you using flash? And great blog, I’ll definitely be back.

The crab looks lovely, whenever I see crab on a menu I grab at the chance to order it. It’s great when a flavour stirs a memory or emotion, sadly I, like my father, know little about wine, I do remember when he first poured me a mateus rose…..oh dear.

What a great tasting menu! Alsace is one of our favorite regions, too. If you ever see a Clos St. Imer Pinot Gris, I hope you try it — it is divine!
